Name: Kadeem Trotter

Position: Linebacker

Year: (Redshirt) Freshman

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 210

Hometown: Canton, Ohio

High School: McKinley

2017 stats: Trotter redshirted for the Syracuse Orange in 2017 after tearing his MCL during his senior year of high school.

2018 projections: While Trotter isn’t on the two-deep, he has the size and athleticism to step on the field in early season contests to prove his worth as a depth piece for ACC play.

How’d he get here?: Iowa State and Boston College wanted him, but Trotter chose Orange.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Three stars, with Rivals saying he was a top-40 player in Ohio.

Money Quote: That torn MCL didn’t deter Babers and staff because of the raw talent Trotter has.

“Many of the coaches on my team and scouts around here, they said I could’ve been the No. 1 prospect (in Ohio),” Trotter said. “My coach said I’d probably have 50 offers right now if I never got hurt.”

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: It’s a new one, but a story about a one legged dude overcoming crazy odds to kick some butt? “Skyscraper” seems like an appropriate fit.

Interesting nugget’ o interest: He actually chose not to play his sophomore year of high school. Luckily, his head coach talked him back into it.

Let’s get a look at ya: Thanks for the highlights and breakdown, ‘Cuse!
