The Basketball Tournament will be down to just four teams after this weekend and still in the hunt for the $2.0 million grand prize is Boeheim’s Army, the group of former Syracuse Orange basketball players you’re surely familiar with at this point.
The Army will tip at 1 pm against Armored Athlete and will air on ESPN. The game is available for streaming as well.
While we don’t have anyone on site in Atlanta to cover the game, we’ll have updates throughout so keep it locked for the recap and more.
This game itself however offers some intrigue as Armored Athlete’s Jordan Hulls and Will Sheehey (Indiana) played against Syracuse in the 2013 Sweet 16 (Victor Oladipo and Cody Zeller are boosters). You’ll also see a collection of former Syracuse opponents in Kevin Jones and Preston Knowles. Should the guys advance, James Southerland and Brandon Triche might find themselves up against a familiar foe (Marquette alumni squad).
John gave a rundown of the BA vs. AA matchup while Andy gave a scouting report on this game as well as the potential Elite 8 matchup should the Army advance.
Leave your pre-, in- and post-game comments below and feel free to share where you’re taking in the action.
Hopefully Josh Pace makes an appearance as well.
