Get To Know Your Orange Man, #27, LB Nadarius Fagan

The Miami native looks to pick up steam this year.

NCAA Football: Syracuse at Pittsburgh Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Nadarius Fagan

Position: Outside Linebacker

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6’1”

Weight: 218

Hometown: Goulds, Fla.

High School: Miami Southridge

2017 Stats: Got run in four games as part of kickoff coverage. No tackles recorded.

2018 Projections: The Syracuse Orange linebacking corps is definitely changing, with a good bit of the old guard moving on. I don’t know if Fagan will be able to take advantage of the openings as a sophomore, but there’s always a chance.

How’d He Get Here?: He was pursued by a good number of schools. Alabama, LSU, USC, Nebraska, and Appalachian State made the short list, but he early enrolled at SU in January 2017.

What’d Recruiting Sites Say?: Three-star talent all around.

Money Quote: Regarding the recruiting process and his feelings on the staff through it, specifically Nick Monroe, the Florida recruit whisperer.

“Coach Monroe did a great job of recruiting me,” Fagan said. “He kept it real with me the whole process. That’s what I was looking for. He was honest.”

Twitterfeed: @DadaFagan

Tweets of Wonder: He’s a man after my own thoughts after seeing this RT.

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: You couldn’t go wrong from the top of this list of movies set in Miami. Scarface, Godfather Part II, Bad Boys, Ace Ventura. I’ve got to assume Dino would stay on theme and go with #5 on the list though, Any Given Sunday.

Interesting Nugget O’Interest: Syracuse won out over the likes of ‘Bama and others primarily due to the strength of the drama program. The OLB looks to get into acting or announcing post college and SU seems just the place to get it done.
