Get To Know Your Orange Man - No. 49, LB Zack Lesko

Here’s an everywhere man, he’s been everywhere.

NCAA Football: Notre Dame vs Syracuse Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Zack Lesko

Position: Linebacker

Year: (Redshirt) Sophomore

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 219

Hometown: Solon, Ohio

High School: Solon

2017 Stats: While at UT-Chattanooga, he did not play in any games.

2018 Projections: He’s going to sit out the year, per NCAA transfer rules after transferring back to Syracuse.

How’d He Get Here: In 2016, Lesko redshirted at Syracuse joining the team as a preferred walk-on. In 2017, he transferred to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, but after not playing in any games (and maybe former Syracuse Orange assistant Tom Kaufman leaving for Kent State), he came back to Syracuse in January.

What’d Recruiting Sites Say: Zack was not ranked on scouting sites.

Money Quote: Via Twitter, the best quote of all.

“I’m proud to say I will be continuing my football and academic career at Syracuse University.”

Twitter feed: @Zack_Lesko

Tweets of Wonder: He’s a retweeter more than a tweeter. Like most of us, he was pumped when the Rex Culpepper news happened.

What movie would Dino recommend for him?: Zach Galifianakis had been in other movies before, and plenty since, but he’ll probably be forever known for his role in “The Hangover.” Lesko’s probably seen it, but that’s fine. It’s always a fun one.

Interesting Nugget O’Interest: Lesko’s high school coach, Jim McQuaide was inducted into the Warren, Ohio Sports Hall of Fame back in 2012.

Let’s Get a Good Look Atcha: All. The. High. School. Highlights.
