Name: Shaq Grosvenor

Position: Defensive tackle

Year: Junior

Height: 6’2”

Weight: 278

Hometown: Linden, N.J.

High School: West Orange

2017 stats: Grosvenor made his Syracuse Orange debut versus Central Connecticut State and appeared in the Central Michigan game. He snagged a tackle in the latter contest. Shaq was injured a bunch for the rest of the season, unfortunately.

2018 projections: The defensive tackle was brought in with the expectation of taking some time to see the field, so I don’t expect to see him shoot up the depth chart at the start of the season. By ACC play, Shaq could have fought his way into the two-deep to get regular playing time.

How’d he get here?: After high school, he went out to the desert to play for Mesa Community College. Arkansas State and Lamar (FCS) showed some interest along with Syracuse.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Nada.

Money quote: From our own Adam Hillman last year:

He’s going to challenge for playing time on the interior line, in all likelihood. The Syracuse Orange need some extra depth there, especially after Steven Clark’s departure.

Twitter feed: @SelfMade_Groove (Private)

Tweets of wonder: Really not a whole lot on Twitter thanks to the whole private thing, but here are some highlights he RT’d.

What movie would Dino Babers reccomend?: Syracuse and Shaq? “Blue Chips,” easy (Jim Boeheim was in the film if you did not know that already).

Interesting nugget o’interest: In high school, Grosvenor also wrestled. Please submit your wrestler names for him below.
