Name: Patrick Davis
Position: Offensive tackle

Height: 6’5”
Weight: 316
Hometown: Gatineau, Quebec (Canada)

2017 Stats: Played in eight games for the Syracuse Orange last year before an injury ended his season. Davis played mostly on special teams but did see snaps on the offensive line against Central Connecticut State and Central Michigan.
2018 Projections: Davis’ listed as the No. 2 left tackle on the depth chart behind Cody Conway. He should once again be a starter on the punt protection and FG/XP units, and he’ll be seeing time as a reserve lineman. Davis will likely move into the starting unit in 2019.
How’d He Get Here?: He crossed the St. Lawrence River to attend a Syracuse camp in the summer of 2016 and received an offer from the Orange, signing later that summer.
What’d Recruiting Sites Say?: Three stars from 247. Two stars from Scout. Ranked as the No. 3 recruit from Canada by ESPN. Picked Syracuse over Buffalo and the University of North Dakota.
Money Quote: From Dino Babers on recruiting in Canada. Dino knows that Syracuse is #CanadaSCollegeTeam
“I think it’s an untapped area, I think it’s an area that’s obviously very close to Syracuse University. I think it’s something that we’re going to try to take advantage of as long as I have a term here.”

Tweets Of Wonder: I think that ‘Cuse fans will be thankful Patrick didn’t settle for his first offer

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: We’re going to go with “Goon” the film from Jay Baruchel which looks at Doug Glatt (played by Sean William Scott), a fighter converted into a hockey player. Dino’s going to want his Canadian lineman to understand he needs to be there to clear space for the skill players.
Interesting Nugget O’Interest: Gatineau is located across the Ottawa River from the city of Ottawa (Ontario) and forms the National Capital Region.
