With The Basketball Tournament coming through the pipeline in July, Boeheim’s Army continues to fill out its roster full of erstwhile Syracuse Orange players. Joining Eric Devendorf and Brandon Triche on this summer’s roster is now former Orange forward Kris Joseph, according to GM Kevin Belbey.

Kris Jo recently talked with us in December just after he concluded playing in France. From there (H/T: Donna Ditota at Syracuse.com), Joseph went home to Canada to nurse an injury and eventually played for the Niagara River Lions (pictured below) in the National Basketball League Canada. He played in 13 games and gave out 16 points per in Canada and told Donna he’d be heading back to France to play basketball for a short stint.

Joseph will give Boeheim’s Army a veteran alongside Eric Devendorf — the two played together for one season in 2008-2009. Perhaps you remember the year of the six overtime?

Joseph finished his Syracuse career in 2012 where he led the Orange with 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 steals per game on the way to an Elite 8 berth. He’d later go on to that summer’s NBA Draft to be selected by the Boston Celtics in the second round.

What do you think? Excited for the addition of Kris? Who else would you like to see fill out the roster? Leave your comments below.
