Syracuse Orange fans got some summer basketball roster news on Monday afternoon. While we all wait to find out about Tyus Battle’s NBA decision and potential 2018 recruits, Boeheim’s Army released the first players committed to their 2018 TBT roster.

It comes as no surprise that Eric Devendorf and Brandon Triche are back again to help the Syracuse Alumni squad pursue the title and the $2 million payout. Last year Boeheim’s Army made a run to the semifinals before falling to eventual champion Overseas Elite. Devendorf and Triche provide scoring and leadership to the team. Both players also have the ability to score inside and outside which has shown to be pivotal in this single-elimination event.

Ryan Blackwell will also return this summer as the Head Coach for Boeheim’s Army. Blackwell is coming off an outstanding season as he led the Liverpool HS Boys team to a NY State Title and earned Coach of the Year honrors.

Boeheim’s Army GM Kevin Belbey said that other team members should be announced this week as players are confirmed for the event. Teams need to have at least seven players on their roster by June 1st and Belbey said all of the players are Syracuse alums....and there is one new player this summer.

Boeheim’s Army will start their quest for the title in Brooklyn during the weekend of July 20th. Who do you think will be the new player enlisting with the Army this summer? (My guess is that it rhymes with Mak Thristmas). What other former Orange alums are you hoping to watch in Orange? Let us know in the comments.
