The Syracuse Orange women’s rowing team concluded Justin Moore’s tenure with a 16th place finsh at the NCAA Rowing Championships in Sarasota, Florida. The California Golden Bears won the team title with 130 points while Syracuse earned 52 points over the weekend.
The Orange were led by the second varsity boat which finished 11th overall while the varsity eight and varsity four boats both placed 16th in their respective events. The finsh was a little lower than the Orange hoped coming into the championships.
This concludes the Syracuse career of Head Coach Justin Moore and as he moves on to other opportunities he leaves a program with three straight NCAA Championship appearances. Athletic Director John Wildhack will now be hiring his first Syracuse Head Coach and the hope is to attract a candidate who can continue to build the program on the national level.
