What would you name a Syracuse-themed Kentucky Derby horse?

It’s the 144th Kentucky Derby, so of course we’re talking about this.

Horse Racing: Kentucky Derby-Workouts Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

The (144th!) Kentucky Derby is this weekend, and among the many aspects of the event I find interesting is the naming of race horses.

Naming a race horse is no easy task, but one that’s mostly just bogged down with bureaucracy. Some of this year’s top names include: Firenze Fire, Promises Fulfilled, My Boy Jack, Enticed, Bravazo and Blended Citizen.

None of us at TNIAAM are independently wealthy enough (that I know of) to own or name a race horse. But if we could, what would we name it?

Below are some of our top picks for Syracuse Orange-themed horse names, grouped by category. Share your own Orange-related names below.
