Syracuse Orange fans got a special treat yesterday when noted basketball fan Kanye West decided to share some lessons on embracing the Orange. It might be a long time until next November, but you don’t often get free wisdom like this so you need to take heed.
You have to protect your ability to create at all cost
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 17, 2018
Right here Kanye’s promoting the idea of the isolation offense because if you don’t have the ball in your hands, how can you create? Sure the shot clock might be running down and you might get double-teamed, but that’s when the real artistry happens.
distraction is the enemy of vision
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 17, 2018
This goes along with the previous advice. If there are too many players running around it’s a distraction. If you can’t ignore everything else besides Syracuse basketball, you are the enemy. Remember that next time you decide that something else is more important than an Orange game. Don’t be a #DisloyalIdiot
Sometimes you have to get rid of everything
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 17, 2018
Well let’s see, two players and a top incoming recruit. I think we’ve got that one covered Ye. Let’s not push it with everything.
everything you do in life stems from either fear or love
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 17, 2018
Real talk....we love this guy, but there’s still a bit of fear when you think about it right?

be transparent as possible. Stop setting plays. Stop playing chess with life. Make decisions based on love not fear.
— KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) April 17, 2018
Stop worrying about the pick and roll. Make decisions based on love. The love of the zone, the color Orange, watching Georgetown lose. Don’t fear the future, the unknown transfers, the early NBA departures, or the occasional inexplicable loss. Open your Orange hearts to the possibilities in front of us and then we shall prosper.....and lastly,
trend is always late

You hear that Coach K. That’s why switching to a 2-3 zone didn’t lead you to a Final Four this year. Get some originality and stop swagga-jackin’.
