Syracuse Orange fans received some good news last night as Oshae Brissett officially announced he was returning for his sophomore season. While Brissett had previously said he was returning, this video confirms that he’s going to be coming back because now that’s it been tweeted from an official account it’s fact.

Brissett averaged 14.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game and it’s a bit of a surprise that he chose not to attend the NBA combine to get feedback on his game. This is very good news for Syracuse who has already seen Matthew Moyer transfer and Darius Bazely chose to enter the G League.
The rest of the ACC better look alive next year as expectations are that Brissett will continue to expand his offensive game. His ability to get to the foul line and provide a big impact on the glass were key to Syracuse’s Sweet 16 run and if he can be more consistent from the 3 point line he could easily find himself among the top players in the ACC in 2018-19.
Oshae didn’t mention it in his short video, but his decision could have been Heim’s Plan that he return to develop his game. No matter the reason Orange fans are glad to have him for another year and #TorontoSCollegeTeam remains nice for what.
