Have you ever wondered what coach Jim Boeheim’s bracket would look like, and how far he would have his own Syracuse Orange going? Well, after going on The Dan Patrick Show, we now know what the Hall of Fame coach’s bracket would have looked like—or, sort of.

Coach Boeheim’s concerns for his Syracuse team started with the TCU Horned Frogs, who he looked at as a serious threat to his team’s probability to win due to their familiarity of their coach, Jamie Dixon, with the Orange’s playstyle.

“In reality, I thought we would have a great deal of trouble with TCU, because of their makeup of their team, the familiarity of their coach with how we play,” coach Boeheim said when asked how far he would have this Syracuse team going.

Well Coach, the experience Dixon had with your team didn’t prove to be an issue, as the Orange pulled out the win and headed to a round of 32 matchup with the Michigan State Spartans.

Very few people had the Orange moving on to the sweet sixteen, and even coach Boeheim was weary about picking his team on to the next round.

“I would’ve probably had a hard time picking us against Michigan State in Detroit, honestly,” coach Boeheim said about what he thought his team’s odds were against the number three Spartans. “When you go into a game, it doesn’t matter who you’re playing; if we were playing the Warriors, we would think somehow we can win this game.”

Well, the Golden State Warriors haven’t seen a 2-3 zone in quite some time, so coach Boeheim may not be too far off with his scouting report of the reigning NBA champions.

The Orange have busted a lot of brackets thus far, and they may have even busted their coach’s imaginary bracket too. However, you can bet coach Boeheim and his team are more than willing to ruin a few more brackets with a win this Friday.
