National Signing Day 2018: Syracuse football signs 18 players to incoming class

The Orange have three spots remaining for 2018.

NCAA Football: Pittsburgh at Syracuse Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange’s National Signing Day is complete. After signing 15 players during December’s early signing period, the Orange added three more players on Wednesday. That leaves them with 18 total -- three short of the max amount of scholarships they could hand out this cycle.

Running back target Mychale Salahuddin ended up picking Pitt over SU. And outside linebacker Fitzroy Gardner will head to Iowa Western (JUCO) with the hopes of signing with Syracuse once he qualifies -- they’ll be saving a spot for him. Arizona running back Jawhar Jordan is also looking to get his academic affairs in order before he can sign with SU. JUCO cornerback Duwayne Johnson won’t be signing just yet, so we’ll see what happens there as well.

Those latter three could be your remaining three scholarships for this class, so the final ratings are far from “final” for the Orange right now.

We’ll be recapping the 2018 class some more as the day goes on. But look below for the full list of 2018 signees. And to all of the new players, welcome to SU!
