The Syracuse Orange were ready to take advantage of West Virginia Mountaineers omissions in the Camping World Bowl. Late news Christmas Eve changes that dynamic considerably, with Syracuse.com reporting that Alton Robinson and McKinley Williams did not make the team flight to Orlando for “personal reasons.”

This is a huge loss for ‘Cuse, as both starters have been integral to the Orange defensive success this season. The two juniors had done well to both run stuff and pass rush, with Robinson racking up ten sacks on the season. The two combined for 13 QB hurries and 56 tackles this season.
This isn’t great, and certainly negates the Yodny Cajuste omission. If we learn anything more, we’ll update you here.
