Welcome to college football’s early signing period for the class of 2019! The Syracuse Orange will be adding new recruits from Wednesday to (maybe) Friday. As each player signs, we’ll be posting profiles here on TNIAAM. Next up? The Orange continue to add to an up-and-coming secondary with DMV-area safety Aman Greenwood.

Player outlook:
Greenwood isn’t the flashiest of defensive backs, being known more for his tackling and making solid plays than any big play ability. That said, to be that kind of player and be this highly recruited means the staff sees him as a future rock of the defense. Dino and staff have been in on Greenwood a long time, with Reno Ferri being closest to the high schooler. They see a future role in what will be a young secondary next year. It wouldn’t surprise me if Greenwood’s first crack at significant playing time came on special teams.
