If it’s Wednesday, then you know it’s time for #FakeNunes preview. All the #jokesandgarbage you need to get ready for this week’s Syracuse Orange game.

Opponent: Louisville Cardinals

Location: Louisville, KY

Students: 22,459

The 2018 Fake Nunes Statistical Index (#FNSI)

We’ve come up with some new categories this year because if we’ve learned anything from the NCAA this summer it’s to create a metric you own the rights to and no one knows how you calculate the formulas.

Uniforms:

Louisville’s been going with these black helmets for road games and the last two have seen them alternate white and black pants. Assuming Syracuse goes traditional blue jersey/orange pants for the home finale I hope the Cardinals resist the urge to go all-black. Not sure it matters though

Advantage: Syracuse

NCAA Football Playability:

Lamar Jackson might have been the cover athlete for NCAA 2019 but Lamar’s not in the game so this one is pretty one-sided for the Orange.

Advantage: Syracuse

Football Program Hashtag:

#OITNF vs #L1C4

Folks I don’t think anyone would suggest you leave your passcode as a hashtag. Also, substituting numbers for letters is so 2016.

Advantage: Syracuse

In honor of Election Week, we turn to politics and look we’re not trying to take a political stance here in #FakeNunes but...

Advantage: Syracuse

Overly Optimistic SU Fan Prediction from @MrSUFootball

We’re tired of all your #honoryourcontract and #disloyalidiot comments so each week the most optimistic Syracuse Football fan we know gives you his predictions. I’m not sure if he’s slept this week, but he’s ready to go for this weekend’s game. Current Prediction Record (7-2).

Syracuse 44 Lville 5....

Here are my four downs of reasoning:

1) 6-0, it would be a masterclass to finish the dome season undefeated and reinforce that we have the most raucous and intimidating environment in college football. Especially when they sneak in the Chicago bulls theme song on 3rrrrrrdddddd doooownnnn.

2) Bobby Petrino- i don’t know him, I’ve never tweeted with him, but I hate him. Not only have we not beaten lville since he has been there, we also have been the subject of this jackwagon continuously running up the score on us. It’s time for payback and a moment I’ve been waiting for since Lamar Jackson leapt over former Orange Db Cordell Hudson.

3) Senior night- I’ve been listening to a lot of Friday night lights soundtrack in my car lately, Thinking about Eric dungey, Slayton, Conway and a few others that have finally got what they deserved their senior year. While we don’t play a ton of seniors, it is great that these guys will be remembered as hopefully the senior class that jumpstarted this program back up. I love you all if you are reading this.

4) while I only get 6-7 home games a year, I just try and take it all in. Orange nation just take it all in, enjoy this ride. Don’t be afraid to cry on Friday will. happy year tho y’all! 3 left with 4-5 more (cfb playoffs possible)

Jalen Ramsey tells us about the opponents’ QB

If you thought Jalen would keep his opinions to NFL QBs, we’re happy to announce that we got him to speak about SU’s 2018 opponents.

Jawon Pass is going to be a problem for a lot of college teams... when he gets Jeff Brohm as his HC”

6.9/10: Bobby Petrino’s buyout is so big he might be wishing he gets fired so he can ride his motorcycle around on Fall Saturday afternoons. He might light up if the Orange win.

8/10: This is the final game for a Senior class that has led the Syracuse program out of the darkness and back into the light. A win in their Dome finale and we might get a real emotional moment from the HC.

Prediction:

Syracuse needs to keep the pedal down on Friday night. The Orange are enjoying a lot of positive buzz and a win here means at least one more week in the spotlight... this one gets out of hand in the 3rd quarter and the Dome crowd eats it up.
