TV/Streaming: ACC Network Extra/WatchESPN
Radio: Cuse.com, TK 99/105, WAER 88.3, SiriusXM: N/A
Eastern Washington Blog: N/A, but there’s a joke about being a directional school in there somewhere. Check out Mid-Major Madness, though.
Rivalry: 0-0
Current Streak: N/A
First Meeting: Much like my future wife, these two have never met.
Last Meeting: Hard to meet for the last time when you’ve never met in the first place, no?
Head Coaches: SU: Jim Boeheim (43rd year, 1,027-371); Eastern Washington: Shantay Legans (2nd year, 20-15)
Coach Bio: Legans took the reins last season as the head coach of Eastern Washington and moved the Eagles to 20 wins on the year. He’s been at EWU for over a decade and became the program’s 18th head coach in 2017-18. Before becoming a coach, Legans played at Cal and Fresno State.
Last Year: EWU won 20 games and made it to the CBI in post-season play before bowing out to Utah Valley.
“Fear Me, I’ve Killed Hundreds of Timelords”: Last year, EWU was a one man show with Bogdan Bliznyuk leading the charge with 21.2 points per game. But look for junior Mason Peatling to step up.
If Syracuse Wins: Move the chains.
If Syracuse Loses: Pretty concerning, especially considering the preseason hype.
Fun Fact No. 1: Eastern Washington has only made the NCAA Tournament twice, but did face Georgetown as a No. 13 seed in 2015. EWU only lost by 10, presumably because Georgetown...
Fun Fact No. 2: Jim Boeheim will officially be coaching in his 43rd year at Syracuse. No other Division I college basketball coach has been coaching at one institution for 40 years or more.
