After a week off for Thanksgiving break, the Syracuse Orange are back in action tonight against the Ohio State Buckeyes for the Darius Bazley Pump Fake Classic ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Syracuse will tip momentarily from Value City Arena (The Schott) at 7:15pm.
The Orange are just 2-3 (not zone) in the challenge since joining the ACC while Ohio State is 7-10 all-time in the event. This is the first meeting between Ohio State and Syracuse since the 2012 Elite 8. Before that, these two programs met back in 2007 at Madison Square Garden for the NIT Preaseason Tip-Off, which SU will play in again next fall. For tonight’s matchup OSU will honor the guy that led the Buckeyes to those two victories over SU at the half.
Ohio State will be honoring Thad Matta at halftime of tonight’s game against Syracuse in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
