Linebacker Ryan Guthrie continued his dominance in the back half of the season, racking up a career-high 12 tackles. It was his third game in the last four with at least 10. He also picked up a tackle for loss.
Freshman safety Andre Cisco had six tackles, with two passes defended and an INT (the other defended pass was the near-miss on another pick). The interception was his seventh of the season, which is tied for the national lead. He’ll have an opportunity to tie or beat Syracuse’s single-season record of eight (Tommy Myers, 1971) if he can haul one in during SU’s bowl game.
Finally, Eric Dungey stole the show, with six total touchdowns. That ups his season total for 32 on the season, and his gave him career-highs for season rushing (15) and passing (17) touchdowns. You can read more about all of the records Dungey broke this year, along with the records he could still surpass in game No. 13.
Congrats, all, for a very productive season and what should end up being our most-honored to-date in terms of individual performances. The ACC’s all-conference selections will be released tomorrow, so we’ll have more on that then.
