Of course you’re disappointed that the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (2-1) lost to UConn last night. But good news! They have a perfect chance to redeem themselves against the Oregon Ducks (2-1) tonight! The consolation game for the 2K Classic tips off at 4:30 p.m. ET from Madison Square Garden. You can watch on ESPN2/WatchESPN if you’re not there.
James is at the game yet again, and he’ll be capturing all of the action from press row. SU’s a slight underdog (1.5 points), but the Ducks are also likely reeling a bit after being upset by Iowa. With less rest and zero reason to be as motivated as the Huskies, perhaps the Ducks fall flat today? And in that case, we’re actually better off than had we beat UConn and lost to Oregon...
Before the game gets going, here’s some last-minute reading material for you as well:
- All you need to know about the game: History, network, time, odds, etc.
- No Frank Howard tonight... or maybe the next few games, either
- Here’s a recap of Oregon’s loss to Iowa last night
- James talked to Dan Hurley after the game and it was actually enlightening
- The TNIAAM staff is split on this one — how about you?
