The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (2-0) returns to action on Thursday night against the (former rival) Connecticut Huskies (2-0) at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. While it’s not the old Big East, the 2K Classic still has some sort of ring to it... right?
We have James at the game, and he’ll be following along from press row once things tip off around 7 p,m. ET. If you’re not at MSG, you can catch all of the action on ESPN2/WatchESPN. The No. 15 Orange are favored (by eight points), but any margin of victory would be fine just to shut UConn fans — who haven’t beaten us in football or men’s basketball since December 2016 — up for the next year.
Before the game gets going, here’s some last-minute reading material for you as well:
- All you need to know about the game: History, network, time, odds, etc.
- Andrew previews the five things you’ll need to watch in this one
- James recaps past Orange vs. Huskies matchups at MSG
- We asked the UConn Blog some questions about the Huskies
- ... and answered some over there as well
- Oshae Brissett is already looking improved in 2018-19
- A UConn (and Notre Dame) preview for your ears
- The TNIAAM staff picks Syracuse across the board in this one
Also, if you’re in New York City, come to the live podcast at East End Bar & Grill tomorrow!
