While much of our focus has been on the Syracuse Orange football season we want to take some time to catch you up on the other teams in action right now.

Men’s Soccer

Steve’s keeping you updated on the men’s soccer season and tonight the Orange will host the #1 ranked and undefeated Wake Forest Demon Deacons at 7:00. On Monday evening, Syracuse welcomes back Alex Bono of the Toronto FC for his bobblehead night at the SU Soccer Stadium. We’ll have to see what jokes Coach Mac comes up with for that one.

Women’s Soccer

The Orange women are still looking for their first ACC win of the season. Syracuse is 3-10 overall and have been led by Kate Hostage’s four goals and eight points. The Orange host the North Carolina Tar Heels on Sunday afternoon as they look to break into the win column.

Field Hockey

The 13th ranked Orange host the #8 Boston College Eagles today at 5:00 at Coyne Field. Syracuse is currently 0-3 in ACC play so the match-up with BC is important for ACC Tournament positioning. Roos Weers and Chiara Gutsche are leading the Orange with 12 points this season.

An 8-4 Syracuse team puts their undefeated ACC record on the line against the 8th ranked Pittsburgh Panthers on Friday. This is the first time the Orange have been 4-0 in ACC play and they are led by the defensive play of Amber Witherspoon and Santita Ebangwese who rank in the top six in the ACC in blocks.

We’ll try and provide more frequent updates on these teams as they move towards ACC Championship play.
