- 20 Schools were unanimous selections, that's four more than last week. Colorado was the lowest ranked of the twenty. The five non-consensus selections were: Penn State #13 (5 of 6 ballots), Wisconsin #17 (5), Cincinnati #22 (3), Boise State #23 (5), N.C. State #23 (3) , and South Florida #25 (4)
- Michigan State and Washington State were the only schools to appear on more than one ballot (two each), and not crack the Top 25.
- Eight different schools received a Top 4 vote, That's up one from last week with Oklahoma being the newcomer (Ala, Geo, Clem, LSU, OSU, ND, WVU, OU)
- John Cassillo: Voted Boise State (19) higher than anyone else, and was the only voter to include Notre Dame in his top 4. Also the only ballot to include Oklahoma State.
- OrangeRay: Once again the only ballot not to rank Alabama #1, slotting them at #2 with Georgia atop his ballot. Only voter to include Duke, putting them at #18.
- Orangeman Fighter of the Nightman: An early passenger on the North Texas bandwagon, made the change over to La. Tech, voting them at #23 after they beat North Texas. Only voter not to drop Penn State lower than he had them last week.
- Orange is the New Orange: Had UCF higher than anyone else at #5 and Miami lower than anyone else at #25. Only voter to include Army, putting them at #23.
- Highsocks21: Only voter to omit Wisconsin. Only voter to have West Virginia in the Top 4, or include Florida and California on his ballot.
- AZLK: Only voter to include Appalachian State. Ranked LSU lower than anyone else at #7. Wins this weeks "Hoya Award" for giving SU their lowest ranking at #24.
