The No. 16 Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team is back in action tonight as they take the court for the first of two exhibition games this season, this one against the (Division II) College of Saint Rose Golden Knights.
Saint Rose is coming off a postseason run of their own, but are breaking in a new interim coach. Syracuse, as you know, will have Jim Boeheim on the sidelines for the 43rd straight season. Perhaps you heard some of the comments he had about paying players on Wednesday...
As it’s an exhibition, the results don’t matter, though it is worth noting Syracuse will be without all three point guards. That puts Tyus Battle at the 1, and creates an interesting lineup of him, Elijah Hughes, Oshae Brissett, Marek Dolezaj and Paschal Chukwu to start. Chances are you’ll see plenty of Buddy “Definitely Calling Him Jack” Boeheim and Robert Braswell, too.
More info on the game, and Saint Rose is here.
