There are plenty of questions after the ‘Cuse win over the North Carolina Tar Heels, and as usual, our first look at this weekend’s answers come via the depth chart. Behold!
Some quick thoughts:
- As alluded to, Eric Dungey is still the listed starter over Tommy DeVito. Assuming this isn’t just a reflection of last week’s personnel (which it very well could be), that would mean we could plan on Dungey getting the start. But that designation doesn’t mean anything with Dino in the lead to a game of this magnitude.
- No more OR for Safety, as Antwan Cordy is now back in the starting role over Andre Cisco.
- Same thing for the tight ends: Ravian Pierce starts, with Aaron Hackett and Chris Elmore getting the OR at backup (there were two ORs last week)
- Perhaps most importantly, Devin Butler’s starting spot is now officially contested. Butler gets an OR with Taj Harris, who has certainly earned a shot to usurp Butler. In the last two games, Harirs has caught nine passes for 115 yards and is increasingly looking like one of the Orange’s top playmakers through the air.
Thoughts on the wide receiver challenges? Or on Babers sticking with Dungey publicly early on? Let us know in the comments.
