Troy Nunes Is An Absolute Podcast: Syracuse vs. Notre Dame/Virginia preview

Recording these after losses isn’t nearly as fun.

The Syracuse Orange fell flat against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons last night. So right afterward, we hopped on the podcast to talk about what went wrong, and what needs to go right in the immediate-term if we want to salvage the beginning of ACC play. And thanks, as always, to Louis for producing this up to a higher audio quality.

In this installment, John Cassillo and Dan Lyons discuss the Wake loss, upcoming matchups with Virginia and Notre Dame, and of course, beer. The larger topics:

  • Suddenly, we just want to hire Graham Harrell as SU’s QB coach/Co-OC
  • Why Syracuse continues to struggle on the road
  • An early look at Notre Dame without Bonzie Colson (they still look pretty good)
  • What needs to change with this offense to become less stagnant/predictable
  • The clear problems with the College Football Playoff
  • How Syracuse’s recent contests have all looked so similar
  • Want more beer? Follow John and Dan on Untappd

Plan accordingly: This week’s podcast runs about an hour. Syracuse basketball dominates the front-end, then we talk College Football Playoff and Orange football coaching hires in the second half.
