The Syracuse Orange (12-5, 1-3) have lost three in a row in ACC play, and look to bounce back on the road against the Florida State Seminoles (12-4, 1-3) on Saturday. FSU has lost two straight games themselves, but also faced a gauntlet of a schedule to start league play — with Duke, North Carolina, Miami and Louisville leading things off.
You can watch Syracuse vs. Florida State at 2 p.m. ET on your local ACC Network affiliate or ACC Network Extra.
So what does (some of) the TNIAAM staff think will happen in this game?

The Orange need a top 25 win, and this will be the one to turn this offensive rut around. Oshae Brissett will finally shoot well from the field as he, with help from Tyus Battle and Frank Howard, leads the Orange past the Seminoles in a nail biting finish.

Florida State has been getting up a plethora of shots from range this season and Syracuse has struggled to defend the three. That’s not a recipe for success and given the ‘Noles just had its home win streak snapped, I have a hard time believing they drop back to back home games.

FSU’s struggled of late, but I attribute a lot of those issues to the difficult early slate. The ‘Noles are very deep, have multiple options outside and are a quality rebounding team. That sounds like a recipe for disaster for the Orange, and it is — though I think SU’s able to keep it close. Expect Oshae Brissett’s shooting to keep them in it as the clock winds down. But ultimately, Florida State just has too many fresh players to toss in as the game gets longer. Still, things to build on for SU.
Now it’s your turn...
