Syracuse Orange Looking for NYC Presence in College GameDay Times Square Crowd

We’re really trying to make sure people know that NYC was the first annexed into the Ottoman Empire

While it may be the remnants of a long ago #BRAND, New York City is very much Syracuse Orange territory. The University has over 50,000 alumni in the Metro NYC area and consistently makes strides to further make the one to one correlation with NYC and Syracuse University. So, when College GameDay decides to roll into Times Square, ‘Cuse is going to have some kind of showing.

The Alumni Engagement office in partnering with the Athletic Department wants any and all Orange fans to come out to the GameDay set and show off that Orange spirit. Those fans that do come to Times Square will be rewarded with even more Orange gear and a chance to win a Jim Boeheim autographed basketball.

All you have to do is find the SU Alumni Association representative (Spoiler: it’s me and I’ll be as close to 44th and Broadway as they’ll let me) and you can get all the goodies and be entered to win, so long as you follow through and enter “The Pit,” aka the backdrop to the GameDay set. The Pit opens at 5 AM with the GameDay show starting at 9. I’ll be there until I run out of gear and I expect to see your best McPherson > Brown Heisman signs in the crowd.

Can’t make it to Times Square in the AM? Come by Big Apple Orange’s Game Watch at Beer Authority just a few blocks south and we’ll have ANOTHER Jim Boeheim signed basketball to give away as a door prize. Just find me and you’ll get a ticket with a chance to win.

It’s going to be a lot of fun and I like making new (and catching up with old) friends of the blog in person. So come say hi, get more Orange gear and I’ll see you Saturday!
