Syracuse Orange fans might be wondering what to do without a home football game this weekend. Well, if you weren’t able to score some Paul McCartney tickets, there are some quality events happening on the SU Hill this weekend.

Field Hockey

The 6th-ranked Orange saw their win streak snapped by the Wake Forest Demon Deacons last weekend. On Saturday afternoon they welcome the North Carolina Tar Heels to Coyne Stadium for a 2:00 pm game. Syracuse is looking to break the program attendance record, so this is a great chance to be part of history.

Men’s Soccer

The 11th-ranked Orange are looking to snap a two-game losing streak on Friday evening. Syracuse will host the Duke Blue Devils in a key ACC match at 7:00 pm. While the team has dropped a couple of games in the last week, they continue to rack up the wins on social media.

The staff here at Nunes Magician would also like to take a moment to congratulate our own Steve Haller and family on the arrival of the newest Orange fan, Sebastian.

Volleyball

The Orange took care of the Boston College Eagles on Wednesday evening (Hello OrangeEagle points) to win their ACC opener. Syracuse travels to play the Pitt Panthers this weekend.

Women’s Soccer

The Orange played their ACC opener last night against Wake Forest. Syracuse dropped a 1-0 decision against the 18th-ranked Demon Deacons, but will look to get that 1st ACC win of the season when they host the Clemson Tigers on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm. This game is also available to watch on the ACC Digital Network.

Cross-Country

Syracuse is in Boston today for the Coast to Coast Challenge. Results of the meet will be available here, and we’ll have a recap over the weekend. You can also enjoy a long read on the building of the XC program as well as a closer look at the infamous Sweet Road workouts.

Rowing

The Orange will compete in Boston this weekend in the Head of the Charles regatta.

Tennis

The Orange tennis squad opens their fall schedule this weekend at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.

Ice Hockey

We are less than two weeks from the start of the Syracuse season, but Syracuse will face Ottawa this weekend for an exhibition game. The Orange were selected as the 2nd place team in the CHA pre-season poll. Senior goalie Abbey Miller was selected as a Goalie to Watch by SBNation’s Women’s Hockey site The Ice Garden.

Good Luck to the teams competing this weekend. If you get a chance to get out and support them, let us know.
