Syracuse Orange fans have another excuse to watch basketball this weekend as Boeheim’s Army takes to the court today in The Basketball Tournament’s second-round. The team will face Gael Nation, who defeated City of Gods 88-86 on Saturday. The game will tip off at 2:45 pm from Philadelphia University and will be broadcast on WatchESPN.
Following a balanced scoring effort in their opening round victory over Dubois Dream, Boeheim’s Army will be bolstered by the addition of Donte Greene for today’s game. The Gaels used strong 3-pt shooting in their victory, so one key for Boeheim’s Army will be defending the perimeter.
The additions of John Gillon and Trevor Cooney have given this year’s version of Boeheim’s Army more options on the perimeter and the ability to spread the floor opens more room for Eric Devendorf and C.J. Fair to drive the lane. A victory today would advance the team to next weekend’s Super 16 in Brooklyn.
Good luck to Boeheim’s Army and join the thread below to follow the action along with us.
