New, 3 comments

He’s gotten bigger now needs to find where he fits

NCAA Football: Florida State at Syracuse Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Kenneth Ruff

Position: Defensive Line

Year: Sophomore

Height: 6'1"

Weight: 278

Hometown: Lauderhill, Fla.

High School: Dillard High School

2016 Stats: Last year he played in seven games for the Syracuse Orange. He racked up six tackles, one of which was for a loss.

2017 Projections: He gained 15 pounds in the weight room this year. Kendall Coleman, Josh Black and Jake Pickard will compete with him to play end. With his new size he could slide into a tackle position, but will face a ton of competition there too. Still young, Ruff will have to find his spot but will contribute somewhere.

How'd He Get Here?: He visited Ohio State and South Carolina and was actually committed to Virginia. He changed his mind after an official visit and chose Syracuse.

What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: He wears three stars on every site.

Tweets Of Wonder: Here’s Ruff getting some work at tight end last year, when he was briefly considered for that position.

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: An underDOG story of a little boy and his Buddy who try to make it big in the basketball world. That’s the 1997 film Air Bud. A classic story about a dog that has a RUFF life to start but gets some playing time on the court. Ruff.... get it? Dog jokes.

Interesting Nugget O'Interest: Ruff went to Dillard High School, and so did his teammates McKinley Williams and Mo Hasan.

Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: Here’s Ruff with Matt Park for his early signee interview:
