Get to know your Orange Man: #47, LS Matt Keller

The junior long snapper is back for another season.

NCAA Football: Boston College at Syracuse Mark Konezny-USA TODAY Sports

Name: Matt Keller

Position: Long snapper

Year: Junior

Height: 5’11”

Weight: 217 lbs.

Hometown: Willow Street, Penn.

High School: Penn Manor

2016 stats: Played in all 12 games as the Syracuse Orange’s snapper for punts and placement kicks.

2017 projections: He is expected to be the long snapper for the Orange once again this season.

How’d he get here?: North Carolina, Louisville, and Texas Tech all showed interest in Keller. Although, Syracuse was the only one who offered him a scholarship.

What’d recruiting sites say?: Scout and Rivals both gave him two stars.

Twitterfeed: @_mk47__

Tweets of wonder: Had to go back awhile for this one, but I am sure it is funny if you understand the context.

What Movie would Dino Babers Reccomend for him?: He would like the war drama Saving Private Ryan. It stars Matt Damon and follows a group of U.S. soldiers trying to retrieve a paratrooper whose brothers have been killed in action. One of my all-time personal favorites.

Interesting nugget o’interest: Entering college, Keller was ranked as the No. 1 long-snapper recruit by Kohl’s.

Let’s get a good look at you: Speaking of Kohl’s, here is his winter showcase video via the recruiting website.
