Name: Daivon Ellison
Position: Safety
Year: Junior
Height: 5’8"
Weight: 177 lbs.
Hometown: Linden, N.J.
High School: Don Bosco Prep
2016 Stats: He led the Syracuse secondary with 57 solo tackles while filling in for the injured Antwan Cordy. Ellison had an interception against Louisville. He was also fifth in the ACC among defensive backs in tackles per game.
2017 Projections: Cordy is back and healthy and will get the start at free safety. That doesn’t mean there is not room for Ellison on the field. He knows Babers’ system and has played well in it so expect him to still get some playing time.
How'd He Get Here?: Ellison had offers from Boston College, Army, Rutgers and Old Dominion. He looked at Penn State a lot from New Jersey.
What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: Three stars from Scout!

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: Zero Dark Thirty tells the story of some relentless navy S.E.A.Ls who will stop at nothing to end terrorism. It is a great film, produced by Megan Ellison.
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: He got quality PT as a true freshman and was one of fifteen true frosh to play for the Orange in 2015.
Let’s Get a Good Look Atcha: A very well done mixtape with decent highlights
