Name: Parris Bennett
Position: Linebacker
Year: Senior
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 216 lbs.
Hometown: Detroit, Mich.
High School: University of Detroit Jesuit
2016 Stats: He ran the defense alongside Zaire Franklin. The two combined for over 200 tackles. 110 of them belonged to Bennett which was the most on the team and the most by any Syracuse Orange defender since 2010.
2017 Projections: The linebacker core will again be strong, probably the strongest group on the team. It’s fair to expect a lot out of Bennett in his last hoorah with SU. If all goes according to plan, Bennett and Franklin will continue their dominance from last year and hit the 200+ mark again as a duo.
How'd He Get Here?: Bennett was talking with Franklin before choosing Syracuse, and he said it was a big factor in his decision. He also fielded offers from Pittsburgh, Bowling Green (Hello, Dino), Akron and Toledo.
What'd Recruiting Sites Say?: Some mixed feelings. Three stars from Scout and two from Rivals
Twitterfeed: Seems to be one of those masked social media crusaders. You won’t find him tweetin’.
Tweets of Wonder: People outside of Syracuse (yes, aware that Hale’s an alum) are aware of just how good Bennett is.
Wrote on unsung Cuse LBs Zaire Franklin & Parris Bennett, but "Franklin & Bennett" would also be great TNT cop show. https://t.co/Q8rxtEJztL

What movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: Ratatouille! (Stick with me here) It’s a film of great triumph by an unforgettable duo (Bennett and Franklin). A rat and a man make it big in the food industry in (wait for it).... PARIS. Great Disney Pixar film.
Interesting Nugget O'Interest: His favorite board game is the Game of Life!
Let’s Get a Good Look Atcha: Bennett got talking after day two of spring practice:
