Name: Donnie Foster
Position: Center
Year: (Redshirt) Junior
Height: 6’3”
Weight: 326 lbs.
Hometown: Savannah, Ga.
High School: IMG Academy
2016 stats: He played in six games for the Syracuse Orange. He started the last two at center when Colin Byrne was out with an injury. He hung in when he had to but was nothing special on the offensive front. Oh, he was called for a chop block that overturned an Orange touchdown that would have tied the game against NC State in the fourth quarter last year. SU lost.
2017 projections: Foster didn’t make the spring depth chart due to injury. Babers listed Byrne as the top center and Sam Heckel as his backup. With both guys being younger than him, Foster has a chance to encourage a roster move as a guy with more experience.
How’d he get here?: After one year at IMG he fielded scholarship offers from Harvard and Dartmouth. He also had a chance to be a preferred walk on at Auburn, but turned it down for the Orange.
What’d recruiting sites say?: He wasn’t rated by anyone, the one year at IMG was huge for his publicity.

Tweets of Wonder: Welcome Back to NunesMagician. Now here’s Donnie with the weather...
Syracuse weather is definitely bipolar... one day its mid 60's and sunny the next day its in the 20's and snowing... smh

Thanks Donnie.
What Movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: Hang on to your seats... “Heeeere’s Johnny!!” The Shining features a family living in the middle of nowhere in a winter that pretty much could not have gone worse. The father gets possessed and tries to kill everyone. It’s really not related to Donnie Foster at all... but Donnie and Johnny rhyme.
Interesting Nugget O’Interest: IMG athletes always have some fun facts. He was coached by former Florida State star Chris Weinke, so that’s cool.
