Name: Cody Conway
Position: Left Tackle
Year: (Redshirt) Junior
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 300 lbs.
Hometown: Plainfield, Ill.
High School: Plainfield North
2016 stats: He had 20 knockdown blocks in nine games for the Syracuse Orange last season. He had to re-earn his spot on the line in the Babers system. Conway was an aggressive run blocker also charged with looking out for the quarterback’s blindside. With his help the SU quarterbacks ranked 11th nationally and 2nd in the ACC in passing.
2017 projections: He’ll hold down his spot as the starting left tackle. All season long he should be protecting the blindside and staying aggressive. Conway’s offseason goals have been to bulk up but keep the speed he has on the line.
How’d he get here?: Conway fielded offers from Illinois and Rutgers... but stuck with the real Orange when he graduated high school in 2015.
What’d recruiting sites say?: Notice a trend? He’s another three star man. Scout had him at 108th in his position.

Tweets of Wonder: He’s a retweeter 90% of the time... but don’t get between the man and his pizza.
May never order from @Pudgies again. Been waiting 3 hours still no food

What Movie would Dino Babers recommend for him?: Possibly the greatest sports film of any generation... Charlie Conway and Gordon Bombay take on the bad news bears of hockey. The Mighty Ducks is definetly worth his time. Cody Conway can see (spoil alert) a game winning goal to take down the Hawks by his fictional brother Charlie. Quack. Quack. Quack.
Interesting Nugget O’Interest: A two sport athlete in high school, Conway played four years of basketball.
Let's Get A Good Look Atcha: Conway had to battle for his spot on the line last season... here are his thoughts on that.
