The 2017 NBA Draft starts this evening! Beginning at 7 p.m. ET, you’ll be able to watch all of the action on ESPN. For cord-cutters (or just those away from their TV during the event), you can live stream the draft over on Watch ESPN.
After a big trade for the No. 1 overall pick, the Philadelphia 76ers will kick things off from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. It’s nearly 100-percent certain they’ll select Washington’s Markelle Fultz with the top overall pick.
In other NBA news you may care about, Phil Jackson’s trying to destroy the Knicks. Again.
But the main reason we’re watching is to figure out where Tyler Lydon will be selected. The Syracuse Orange forward will try to become the sixth straight SU first round pick this evening. Latest mock drafts have him dipping a little bit, but most still have him among the top 30 selections.
First round draft order is below. We’ll also have a live thread going so we can all watch nervously together. Dan and I will also be hosting a podcast from about the 15th pick through the early 20s, which we’ll post to the site on Friday (sorry, not doing it completely “live”).
In the meantime, discuss all NBA Draft stuff here. And we’ll see you tonight to watch Tyler Lydon’s future unfold.
