This game will have some intrigue as Jimmy Boeheim, son of Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim (perhaps you’ve heard of him) will be a freshman on the Cornell basketball team this season.
Yesterday it was announced that the Orange will also host fellow New York team, Buffalo in the non-conference portion of its schedule. Here’s what we know of Syracuse’s non-conference schedule thus far.
November 10 - Cornell at the Carrier Dome
November 17 (18) - Texas Southern at the Carrier Dome
November 20 - Oakland at the Carrier Dome
November 22 - Toledo at the Carrier Dome
December 2 - Kansas in Miami (neutral site)
December 5 - UConn at MSG
Syracuse will also host Maryland as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, St. Bonaventure, and will head to the Verizon Center to take on Georgetown.
Thoughts on the non-conference schedule thus far? Is that Daryl Gross scheduling to prove that Syracuse really is New York’s college team? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
