The ACC has released kickoff times and networks for the the first three weeks of September, plus select other games throughout the 2017 football season. Included in that list were four different Syracuse Orange contests:
Friday, September 1
Central Connecticut State at Syracuse, ACC Network Extra, 7 p.m. ET
Saturday, September 9
Middle Tennessee at Syracuse, ACC Network Extra, 3:30 p.m. ET
Saturday, September 16
Central Michigan at Syracuse, ACC Network Extra, 3:30 p.m. ET
Friday, October 13
Clemson at Syracuse, ESPN, 7 p.m. ET

First off, hope you like ACC Network Extra broadcasts, because the season starts off with three games on that broadcast option. Syracuse is far from the only team to get the ACC Network Extra treatment, however. Boston College, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest (twice) and NC State all get a game on ACC Network Extra as well.
The Friday night Carrier Dome game against Clemson is our second straight season with a Friday night ACC home game, following the week two matchup vs. Louisville in 2016. The Tigers game will obviously be a challenge, just like the Cardinals game was last year.
Broadcast details on the other contests are likely to be revealed much closer to kickoff (typically 10 days or so out). That said, perhaps the LSU contest gets some timing assigned to it a bit early (a CBS/ESPN night kickoff, perhaps????).
But how do we feel about these games? Obviously the Clemson game was going to be on ESPN, though I’m sure the three ACC Network Extra games were a surprise. On the bright side: No nooners yet?
