Cole Swider, who is one of the best shooters in the 2018 class, has been invited to the NBA Top 100 Camp this June, according to his coach Michael Hart.
Swider attends St. Andrew’s School in Rhode Island, where he was named Gatorade Player of the Year this past season.
The camp will take place at the University of Virginia from June 13-17.
Matthew Moyer attended the same camp during the summer before his senior season at South Kent. Michael Carter-Williams also attended the camp, among many other former SU players.
Swider, a 6-foot-7 forward, is down to eight schools: Creighton, Indiana, Michigan, Providence, Syracuse, Villanova and Xavier.
Syracuse is expected to be in it all the way to the end, according to a source familiar with his recruitment. The high interest is mutual, and the staff is in communication with him often.
247Sports ranks Swider as a four-star prospect, and the 98th-best player in the class.
He’s currently seventh in the EYBL in scoring, and is shooting 42 percent from 3-point range.
