TNIAAM NCAA Tournament Challenge Update: Trusting Gonzaga was your only hope

When we last left our 2017 NCAA Tournament brackets, things were getting rocky, but few entries were entirely eliminated.

As we head into Final Four week, the carnage is everywhere.

This is the worst bracket I’ve ever filled out in my 18 years of doing this. We’ll leave it at that.

The same could probably be said for a lot of others too, however. As Sweet 16 losses piled up for virtually everyone, and then Elite 8 upsets by the likes of South Carolina and Oregon finishing the job.

Most of the users near the top of our TNIAAM Jokes & Garbage Brack-tacular don’t have a lot (or any) points left on the board. But a few have some. A quick glance around the top 10:

Erich is currently in first with 81 points, but there are no more left on the board. If things stay as-is, he’d win. But any points for another user now would surpass him. Previous leader bl8r86 falls into this category, with all hopes riding on Gonzaga making it to the final game (and losing).

Also still very much in the running: Melissa, Derrick (most points left) and Joshua, who all picked North Carolina. NOLACuse and AZLK are also lurking, though can’t overtake at this point.

Of all of the people who write here, James Szuba has done the best so far, currently sitting in seventh but maxed out on points already. I’m a failure and am literally in 60th place in the competition.

If you stopped watching several rounds ago, I wouldn’t blame you. The games get started once again this Saturday, for the few parties still intrigued.
