Class of 2017 signee Bourama Sidibe has been invited to play in the regional Jordan Brand Classic game, according to a press release.

Sidibe, a 6-foot-11 center from St. Benedict’s Prep, signed with the Orange back in November. He attends the same school that former SU point guard Tyler Ennis did in New Jersey.

Syracuse targets Jordan Tucker and Chris Duarte have also been invited to the all-star game. Both will represent the Red team, while Sidibe will be on the Blue team.

Jim Boeheim and Gerry McNamara visited with 2017 four-star Jordan Tucker on Thursday as SU will attempt to get back involved in his recruitment.

Duarte, on the other hand, has been on SU’s radar for a few months but still hasn’t received a scholarship offer.

Current Syracuse forward Taurean Thompson received MVP honors last year at the event, scoring 27 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

The game will take place on April 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Some notable former SU players that have played in the JBC are: Carmelo Anthony, Michael Carter-Williams, Rakeem Christmas, Tyler Ennis, Michael Gbinije, Jerami Grant, Donte Greene, Paul Harris, Malachi Ricahrdson, Tyler Lydon and Frank Howard (invited, did not play), among many others.
