Last week, the ACC coaches named Syracuse Orange standout Justyn Knight the 2017 Indoor Track & Performer of the Year. Knight had already been selected as the USTFCCCA Northeast Regional Performer of the Year for the indoor season and he received the same awards for the 2016 cross-country season. Can he continue this trend for the outdoor season? Well I don’t think it would be wise to doubt him.
With five seasons left in his Syracuse career (2 Outdoor, 1 Indoor and 1 Cross-Country), look at highlights of what Justyn has already accomplished:
Five-time 1st Team All-American
Seven-time All-ACC
Six-time ACC Champion
Holder of four Syracuse school records
Out-kicked Olympic Medalist Galen Rupp

At this point, Justyn must be a pretty familiar face with the Canadian Customs officers at the Rainbow Bridge. Hopefully they have streamlined the declaration process for him, so he isn’t delayed in returning home to Toronto.
With time left in his Syracuse career, it will be fun to see what else he can add to his achievements. Hopefully Orange fans appreciate what they are witnessing because it’s something special.
