Syracuse football Pro Day scheduled for March 20

A decent-sized collection of former SU players look to impress scouts on campus.

Amba Etta-Tawo was the only Syracuse Orange football player invited to the NFL Scouting Combine. But that doesn’t mean he would be the only graduate to receive attention from NFL scouts.

As is customary, Syracuse will hold an on-campus pro day this year for players to get in front of scouts while also showing their stuff in a familiar setting. They’ll be at the Enlsey Athletic Center (SU’s indoor football practice facility) this coming Monday, March 20.

Syracuse tweeted out the full list of potential participants above, but for those who don’t want to click through to Twitter:

Alvin Cornelius, wide receiver

Brisly Estime, wide receiver/punt returner

Amba Etta-Tawo, wide receiver

Marqez Hodge, linebacker

Ross Krautman, kicker

Hernz Laguerre, defensive lineman

Michael Lasker, offensive lineman

Wayne Morgan, defensive back

George Morris, running back

Omari Palmer, offensive lineman

Josh Parris, tight end

Donnie Simmons, defensive lineman

Ted Taylor, linebacker

De’Jon Wilson, defensive lineman

Beyond pro day, players can have additional workouts with individual teams leading up to the draft as well. This year’s NFL Draft will take place in Philadelphia on April 27-29, and will be televised on ESPN’s family of networks (as well as NFL Network).

Good luck to all of the seniors next week!
