The three major polls were released on Monday with the Syracuse Orange staying mostly in the same position.

Wow. The Nike/US Lacrosse Poll said goodbye to the Duke Blue Devils who fell out of the poll after losing to Denver 14-9 this past weekend. In the Media Poll, Duke fell to 18th while the USILA poll has the Dukies at 16th. The Syracuse Orange stayed numbers six and seven in the Media and US Lacrosse polls respectively, while gaining one position moving into the sixth spot, tied with Virginia, in the USILA Coaches poll. Notre Dame and Carolina remain in the top five of each poll while Virginia did not see any movement.

The Air Force Falcons took down Duke in the first game of the year but followed that up with losses to Denver and Marist, scoring six or fewer in each game. The losses caused Air Force to fall out of each poll and gave Marist a spot in the US Lacrosse poll. Meanwhile Penn took down Saint Joseph’s 10-5 this weekend, allowing them to join the fun, entering the Media and US Lacrosse polls for the first time this season.
