Syracuse is ranked No. 23 for the second straight week in the Coaches Poll. The Orange have survived in the rankings for five straight weeks thanks to its strong start. Cuse’s only blunder in 2017-2018 has been a nine-point loss versus then-No. 5/3 Mississippi State in Las Vegas.
The Orange are close to breaking into the Associated Press Top 25. They are currently No. 28 with 23 points in that poll 13 points behind No. 25 South Florida.
As usual, the ACC features a plethora of ranked teams in the Coaches’ Poll along with Syracuse. Notre Dame — who Syracuse will visit this Thursday — is the nation’s No. 2 team. Louisville is ranked fourth, Florida State is 10th and Duke is No. 14.
