Syracuse vs. St. Bonaventure Official TNIAAM Predictions & Poll

We over the scare from the other night?

NCAA Basketball: Buffalo at Syracuse Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange (10-1) have been walking a bit of a tightrope these past couple games, which makes this matchup with the St. Bonaventure Bonnies (9-2) all the more nerve-wracking.

You can watch Syracuse vs. St. Bonaventure at 7 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra/WatchESPN -- if you’re not already attending the game at the Carrier Dome, that is.

So what does (some of) the TNIAAM staff think will happen in this game?

Kevin Wall

Syracuse 67, St. Bonaventure 66

Everything about this game seems to point to a Syracuse loss, but I'm going to #honormycontract and pick another close Orange win. The Bonnies are likely the 2nd-best team Syracuse has faced this season and they cannot afford to lose contact with Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley as that duo has the ability to make them pay. Both teams have been solid on defense this year so this is a game likely to be decided by turnovers. I would expect the Bonnies to be a top 50 team in March so this is a resume-building opportunity for the Orange.

Syracuse 71, St. Bonaventure 66

Syracuse learned in their nail-biting win against Buffalo that nothing will be handed to them this year, and that will be the same when the Bonnies enter the Carrier Dome. Syracuse's up and down half court offense has been seen throughout this entire season, and that won't make it easy when they face an underrated St. Bonaventure team. However, Syracuse remains the more talented team, and Tyus Battle and co. will find a way to pull this one off in a close one.

John Cassillo

Syracuse 74, St. Bonaventure 70

The Bonnies aren’t exactly the best rebounding team, but they don’t necessarily need to be if Jaylen Adams is going to hit shots from outside at a solid clip. It seems overly simple, but if Adams and Matt Mobley are shooting well, it’s pretty likely St. Bonaventure wins. If poor shooting (Mobley can be a bit of a volume shooter) create situations where the Orange can best them on the boards, then Syracuse should be able to take home the win.

Now it’s your turn...
