Highlights:
Player outlook: Horan could really trend toward either position with Syracuse, depending on what the Orange need and how he’s able to put on or lose a few pounds. Height-wise, he fits the part as a tackle, though he’d still need to add some weight. At tight end, he could probably trim off 20-30 and still manage to be a bruising target in the short part of the field.
Traditionally, tight ends have taken on more of a blocker role for Dino Babers’s system, but neither tight end on the roster right now appears built for that role. Horan could be a return to normal for the offense. Or perhaps a player that converts to tackle over time. We’ll have to wait and see where he’s slotted in long-term.
