A big wideout who boosts this class’ potential a ton

NCAA Football: Clemson at Syracuse Gregory Fisher-USA TODAY Sports

The Syracuse Orange will be adding new football recruits throughout the early signing period, this Wednesday through Friday. As each player signs, we’ll be posting profiles here on TNIAAM. Next up? Washington D.C. pass-catcher Edward Hendrix.

Hometown: Washington, D.C.

High School: H.D. Woodson

Position: Wide Receiver

Stats: 6'3", 185 pounds

Commitment Date: August 16, 2017

Ratings: Three stars from 247Sports and Rivals, while ESPN has him at four stars.

Other Offers: Arkansas, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech, Louisville (just to star the long list).

Dino’s projected nickname: Orange Haze (or Jimi if that’s easier)

Player Breakdown: One of the stronger recruits in this SU class, Hendrix hails from our nation’s capital and was top dog in high school. He’s a bigger receiver that was in the top 100 in receiving his senior season.

Syracuse lost some big time receivers in Steve Ishmael and Ervin Phillips this year, so the slack has got to be picked up somewhere. Hopefully Devin Butler and Jamal Custis can hold down the fort, but its nice to have a solid group of young guys coming up.
